Throughout his professional journey, Sandiren's pivotal contributions have shaped the direction of numerous companies and initiatives.

Key Achievements and Experience

Regulatory Leadership in Batelco Separation

Sandiren led the regulatory stream for the successful separation of Batelco, while advising cross-functional teams and was instrumental in getting the separation project over the line. Sandiren advised on critical areas, including regulatory matters, product roadmap development, pricing strategies, and network evolution.

Licensing and Infrastructure Deals

Sandiren headed the regulatory team in a Myanmar for the creation of the first towerco in the country. He successfully presented to the Investment Commission, securing all necessary business and regulatory licenses for the construction of telecommunication infrastructure. This achievement played a pivotal role in the in the launch of new mobile operators in Myanmar.

Telecom Industry Leadership

From June 2020 to January 2023, Sandiren played a pivotal role in leading discussions within the telecommunications industry. As the primary stakeholder representing the newly formed wholesale-only fiber entity in Bahrain, Sandiren provided invaluable expertise, updates, advocacy, and compelling regulatory arguments.

Regulatory Business Development

Sandiren secured operating and spectrum licenses for Digicel Pacific in the South Pacific through crucial negotiations with government, regulators, and civil society. This required expertly navigating complex telecom regulatory challenges, while engaging in Government relations and regulatory management.
